PQA (Pork Quality Assurance)In relationship with the National Pork Board, ISF trains and qualifies all employees to be PQA certified. ISF believes that employees throughout the company need to be trained and certified by the industry standards that make up the pork industry. PQA training and certification assures that ISF employees understand the expectations that the industry expects in areas of animal health and safety and food quality. TQA (Trucker Quality Assurance)In relationship with the National Pork Board ISF trains and qualifies all truck drivers and contract drivers to be TQA certified. Transportation of livestock is critical to the quality of the animal and meat produced. Any driver hauling livestock should be aware of the industry standards that make up the pork industry. TQA training and certification assures that ISF drivers understand the expectations that the industry expects in areas of animal health and safety and food quality. ISF TrainingManagement Training - including ongoing management participation and involvement in IPPA, NPB, and industry related seminars and conferences. Iowa Select Farms is committed to the safety and well being of all our employees. Our safety specialist participates in ongoing training and is OSHA certified in the 40 hour program. Our current safety plan emphasizes monthly training modules presented at each location that has 10 or employees. This approach allows employees to get updated information on a more frequent basis as well as giving managers the opportunity to address employee concerns. |
