Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship and the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) are presenting the 2019 Public-Private Partnership award to the Iowa Agriculture Water Alliance (IAWA) Business Council at the 2019 NASDA Annual Meeting.

The NASDA Public-Private Partnership award recognizes private organizations that partner with a state Department of Agriculture to implement a program, project or service that positively impacts its residents.

Mike Naig nominated IAWA for collaborating with 14 businesses and organizations to improve Iowa’s water quality--one of which is Iowa Select Farms.

Hats off to the Iowa Select Farms Nutrient Management team in partnership with our manure customers, custom manure applicators, soil sampling team, manure sampling team and all of our farm managers for your commitment to improving soil health.

Injected swine manure=increased organic matter in the soil which means less soil erosion and better water holding capacity. A good thing for water quality.
