This is one of the few times a year all of the employees get to come together in the same place,” said Adam Swalla, who manages sow 14 for Iowa Select Farms and has been with the company for nearly seven years. He continued, “It’s fun to see everyone, how much their kids have grown since last year and to top it all off enjoy a paid-day off together with our families. We got lucky with some awesome weather and as if it’s not obvious, we’re having the best time!”
Hundreds of our employees, contractors and their families strolled into Adventureland Park today ready for a day of sunshine, food and most importantly…fun! From the many attractions, rides and shows to Kocomo Kove -- the absolute best place to cool off on a hot summer day -- it was nearly impossible to have a bad time today in Altoona.
In between all of the fun on the rides, families enjoyed stopping by a photo booth, putting on temporary tattoos and taking a break from the summer heat to enjoy a delicious lunch in the air conditioned “Palace” at the park.
We’re looking forward to seeing the rest of our employees and contractors that held down the forts at their farms back home today ensuring that all animals were well-cared for and remained cool and comfortable amidst high summer temperatures.
