Congratulations to Avery on her Iowa Select Farms Future Ag Leader Scholarship!Avery’s grandfather was a former veterinarian with Iowa Select Farms. He has been a role model through out her life. He and her parents have had a major impact on her passion and desire to contribute to the agriculture industry.Avery is currently pursuing her passions by attending Iowa State University. She is studying agriculture business with a minor in animal science. She hopes to have a career working with commodities. She will also continue to raise cattle and hogs. Her family is invested in the agriculture industry through raising and showing hogs. “There is no lack of the pork industry in my family,” she says.Avery has spent countless hours working to build her knowledge and experiences through volunteering and FFA. She volunteers for many things because “I believe that if I learn to be the best me I can be, I can then help others be the best self that they can be”.Good luck on all your future endeavors, Avery!
