Last week, the Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation and Iowa Select Farms sent out nearly 700 Spring Garden Kits to members of Children’s Cancer Connection. Some deliveries have arrived and we had to share some photographs of these budding gardeners (see what we did there?). To protect from Iowa’s picky weather, each kit had a windowsill starter kit for those not ready to go ‘all in’. After those seeds sprout and the plants are established, they can be transferred into one of the three pots we sent – along with supplies to decorate them. Some gloves and a water bottle rounded out the kit. We loved bringing some joy to these special kids’ lives. Happy planting!
