Celebrating Finishing Supervisor Retirement

“The people at Iowa Select Farms are truly some of the best people I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with,” said John, a finishing supervisor in western Iowa. “I am so proud to have finished my career in the pork industry at such an amazing company.”

After over 20 years working with pigs, we are celebrating John as he heads into his new chapter of life—retirement!

“John has been a pleasure to work with for many years,” said Bob, a senior finishing supervisor. “His dedication to animals and people is second to none and we were lucky to have him on our team.” A dependable member of the finishing department, John was responsible for supervising several farms all over western Iowa.

With years of experience in animal care, he was able to share this knowledge with his many managers throughout the years. “Iowa Select Farms is a growing company with high expectations of its employees, but I have always felt appreciated here,” said John. “I am proud to wear Iowa Select Farms attire and to have been a part of this family.”

Recently relocating to Odebolt from Le Mars, John is looking forward to taking on new hobbies, such as improving his electrical skills in his new home and living in the same town as his daughter, Kelsey, and granddaughter, Emery.

A long way from Iowa City, John is hoping to spend more time cheering on the Hawkeyes in football and basketball. He also plans on spending more time outdoors hunting and enjoying nature. Thank you, John, and good luck with your next chapter!
