Childhood is forever changed for hundreds of Iowa families every year when they receive the devastating diagnosis of childhood cancer. It’s not fair. These innocent children didn’t do anything wrong and life for them and their families will never be the same.
To these children and families, Deb and Jeff Hansen want to provide a moment of joy. A moment to forget the devastating news and provide an opportunity for what childhood should be—even if for a brief moment.
Each year we deliver care packages to 600 Iowa families affected by childhood cancer. Through our partnership with Children's Cancer Connection's Hansen Home for Hope, we host a Back to School Bash every year where families are treated to dinner, activities, fun games and free school and art supplies. We also host a Christmas party each year for families with gifts, games and crafts.
