Another special delivery of Henry’s Heroes Law Enforcement Comfort Kits was given to both the Clarke County Sheriff’s Department and the Osceola Police Department.

The Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation donates these Law Enforcement Comfort Kits in honor of their 2-year-old grandson, Henry Johnson. Henry is the son of Deb and Jeff’s daughter, Natalie, and her husband, Jake. Every year on Henry’s birthday, Natalie adds a new component to Henry’s Heroes.

Law Enforcement Comfort Kits are compact but mighty, holding blankets, toys, including Henry’s favorite, Thomas The Train, pacifiers, lip balm, and stuffed animals, with the hope that children and families in distress can be put at ease.

Osceola Police Chief Marty Duffus shared how these kits will impact his community. “Henry’s Heroes Kits are a comforting kit for kids in traumatic situations. Those situations might be automobile crashes, domestic situations or other traumatic events children are exposed to. These kits, distributed by our officers, will give the children a sense of safety, security, and comfort at a time they need it the most”.

Stored easily in squad cars, these kits are always ready for immediate use.

“The Osceola Police Department is a grateful partner with Iowa Select and Henry’s Heroes on this very important and compassionate project”.
