Congratulations to Adriana Alvarez on your Iowa Select Farms Future Ag Leader Scholarship!
Adriana is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and International Business at Iowa State University.
“I decided on my current career path because I fell in love with the impact that the business world can have in influencing future generations. I think that my career path can lead me to something great!” explained Adriana. She continues by sharing that “Agriculture has always been a big part of my world. My grandpa was a farmer and my parents work for Iowa Select Farms. I even volunteer and work for the company as well on my breaks. I think that agriculture is one of the most prominent and impactful ways of business because it supplies food for the entire world.”
Adriana is the daughter of Adriana & Gustavo Alvarez. “My connection to Iowa Select Farms is my parents but as well as myself. Most of my family works for this amazing company. We have really become a part of the family at Iowa Select Farms because my parents have worked there for more than 10 years.” She also expresses “I think Iowa Select is a great place to work at because of the various learning experiences for their employees and the benefits given to them and their families!”
Adriana is originally from Ames, Iowa and her future goals are “to work for a company that allows me to impact more than just the business world. Such as being able to impact those around me in surrounding communities. I want to give back as much as I can.”
