Congratulations to Breanna Fisher on your Iowa Select Farms Future Ag Leader Scholarship!
Breanna is a graduate of Iowa Falls Alden High School and is currently attending the University of Northern Iowa for Elementary Education with a minor in Special Education.
“Being involved in Best Buddies in high school inspired me to pursue an education in teaching. Best Buddies is an organization where students with special needs are paired with other members. I enjoyed meeting the other group members while also creating a personal bond with my buddy. My buddy had cerebral palsy, and she amazed me with how she transitioned through life without letting her disability get in the way,” explained Breanna.
She goes on to explain that “Agriculture has and will always impact my life. Agriculture has helped by putting food on the table, creating fuel to provide more accessible transportation and even creating clothing for us to wear. I may overlook my use of agriculture, but I will forever be grateful for all agriculture can do for me.”
Her future career goals are to teach at a small school and be a multi-sport coach.
Breanna is the daughter of Darian and Kelly Fisher of Iowa Falls, Iowa.
