Congratulations to Haley Bakker on your Iowa Select Farms Future Ag Leader Scholarship!
Haley is a graduate of the AGWSR High School and is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degrees in Agricultural Studies and Animal Science at Iowa State University in Ames.
“I grew up on a family farm so always have had a love for animals and I was involved in FFA in high school which got me interested in the agronomy side of agriculture,” Haley says. After graduation Haley plans to keep her options open with which industry she is going to begin her career in.
Haley is the daughter of Ryan and Lisa Bakker of Steamboat Rocks, Iowa.
Haley cites that “Iowa Select farms have great employee perks like Adventureland and Iowa state fair tickets every year, football tickets and baseball tickets, for contractors it allows for flexibility. It's a local company so you don't have to drive that far to get to your sites, you get to stay local.”
