Congratulations to Sarah Hockemeyer on your Iowa Select Farms Future Ag Leader Scholarship!
Sarah is a graduate of Grundy Center High School and is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Studies with a minor in Agronomy at Iowa State University.
“Growing up on a farm has helped me decide my career path. Ever since I was young, I have loved agriculture. My interest has always revolved around livestock and row crops. I can't see myself doing anything else with my future,” explained Sarah. “I plan to find a career in agronomy or livestock production after college. There is also a possibility I will come back to the family farm to help with pigs, cattle and row crops.”
Sarah is the daughter of Bradley and Kathryn Hockemeyer of Holland, Iowa. Sarah shares “I think what makes Iowa Select Farms great is the way they promote agriculture. It is easy to see that Iowa Select Farms takes great pride in their company. The overall care they provide for their employees is awesome.”
