Ellsworth Excited Over Little Free Pantry

Introducing our newest Little Free Pantry in.... ELLSWORTH! Ellsworth

The Ellsworth Little Free Pantry is located just east of Trinity Lutheran Church and will be stocked and cared for by Iowa Select Farms employees and Ellsworth locals, Dan and Elzette. They’ll keep it stocked with easy-to-prepare snacks for kiddos, personal hygiene products, items for infants, ready-to-eat meals and seasonal items like warm weather clothing, school supplies and much more.

This is the sixth Little Free Pantry installed in a Homegrown Iowa community across Iowa. Other pantries can be found in Riceville, Webster City (x2), Rockwell City and Afton. Little Free Pantries are designed to supplement existing hunger relief efforts in the community and serve as an emergency resource for children and families who do not have the ability to buy food or have limited access to food pantries.

Each Little Free Pantry is unique to the community in which it sits and painted by The Freedom Rock artist, Bubba Sorenson. This is probably the only Little Free Pantry that you’ll find a giant turkey on, thanks to helpful input from the Ellsworth City Council.

We are so excited to welcome the Ellsworth Little Free Pantry into the community!
