First Stop for Power Snack Day Five is in Britt

Good morning, Britt, Iowa! We are flocking towards West Hancock High school where we’re starting our fifth day of Power Snack after a few days off.

So far, in our journey to fight childhood hunger in Iowa, we have visited 35 schools in just four days and are excited to continue making an impact in northern Iowa today.

We are leaving West Hancock High School with 300 Power Snack coupon booklets and 200 pork snack sticks. The Power Snack coupon booklets contain easy-to-follow recipes and a $5 coupon for fresh deli ham, as well as a $3 coupon for a loaf of whole wheat bread. Together, these ingredients give students the opportunity to make their very own “Power Snack” at home to ensure they have meals to eat over weekends and long school breaks.
