"Holy cow, we get meat?!"

That was the exclamation overheard from one young boy this morning as Iowa Select Farms and the Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation teamed up with West Des Moines Community Schools
to provide more than 500 pork loins for families in-need. The pork loins are part of a special holiday meal kit that includes rolls, green beans, mashed potatoes, sauces for gravy and cookie dough.

"We are very grateful for everyone that helped make these holiday meal kits for our families possible," said Willow Dye, director of nutrition services for West Des Moines Community Schools. "It's been a tough year for so many and knowing we can help our families out in this way is very special. It really means a lot."

The 504 pork loins donated by Iowa Select Farms and the Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation were accompanied by a recipe booklet, with tons of delicious holiday meal ideas for families of all sizes.

"We want all Iowa families to be able to share a special meal this holiday season," said Iowa Select Farms employee, Jenn. "And pork loins are the perfect entrée for a memorable Christmas feast."
