Congratulations to Bryce Hamilton on your Iowa Select Farms Future Ag Leaders Scholarship! Bryce is a 2014 graduate of the Clarion-Goldfield-Dows School District and studying at Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge to be a Paramedic.
Bryce is the son of Tim Hamilton and Sandy Martin of Clarion. “My career goals are to obtain my national paramedic certification, be hired on a fulltime fire department as a paramedic/firefighter and possibly work towards becoming a flight paramedic,” said Bryce.
“I was first interested in first aid when I was in Cub Scouts,” Bryce says. “As I was working towards earning my Eagle Rank in Scouts, I was required to earn the first aid merit badge which solidified my interest in the field. I am currently a member of the Clarion Volunteer Fire Department and the Volunteer Ambulance Service.”
During his junior year in high school, Bryce took EMT and Fire Fighter 1 classes, passed the National Emergency Medical Technician test and the Fire Fighter 1 test.
Bryce, who has worked part-time, calls Iowa Select Farms a “great company with great benefits” such as the Iowa State Fair, Adventureland family days and tickets to events at Wells Fargo.
Bryce’s father, Time, has worked for Iowa Select Farms for four years as an environmental services manager.
