Congratulations to Jena Loyd on your Iowa Select Farms Future Ag Leaders Scholarship! Jena is a 2017 graduate of the Iowa Falls-Alden School District who is studying nursing at Ellsworth Community College. She is the daughter of Shannon and Rachel Loyd.
Jena has chosen to follow the lead of her mother who is also a nurse. Jena completed her Certified Nursing Assistant training two years ago and has been working in a nursing home. She says she “loves helping people.”
She participated in volleyball and tennis in high school and “worked a lot.” She was also very busy picking up extra course credits and will enter her first year of college this fall already classified as a sophomore. Her plan is to obtain her LPN degree and then move on to Registered Nurse training.
Shannon is a finishing supervisor for Iowa Select Farms and has been with the company for 11 years.
