Congratulations to Jesus Soto on your Iowa Select Farms Future Ag Leaders Scholarship! Jesus is the son of Horacio and Dacia Soto of Jewell and is studying Agronomy at Des Moines Area Community College. A 2017 graduate of the South Hamilton school district, Jesus was active in FFA, National Honor Society and other programs including recognition of military veterans.
Jesus is also a part-time employee at Greenfield Sow Farm where his father is a department head. “I plan to reach my goals with hard work and responsibility, giving the best that I can to accomplish them,” Jesus says. “The agriculture sector of education is something that has always fascinated me. The beautiful relation and interaction with nature makes me want and desire to continue an education with this purpose.
“I love Iowa Select Farms,” Jesus says, “and all things they do for employees. They also do a lot for the state of Iowa and I would like to work for them sometime.”
Jesus’s father, Horacio, is the breeding department heat at Greenfield sow farm and has been with Iowa Select Farms for three years.
