Congratulations to Tami Runde on your Iowa Select Farms Future Ag Leaders Scholarship! Tami is a resident of Riceville, and an Iowa Select Farms contractor and graduate of Buena Vista University in accounting and business management. She is continuing her education at Northwest Iowa Community College majoring in Agribusiness.
The daughter of Dean and Sandy Runde of Riceville, Tami is employed as a grain accountant for CHS, Inc.
“Living in an agriculture-based community has inspired me to pursue a career within agriculture,” she says. “Within the past two years, I have started renting land and farming alongside my dad and brother and I also help maintain the hog sites we own.”
“My future career goal is to complete an Agribusiness degree to have a better understanding of hedging, buying and selling grain.”
The Runde family have a 25 year relationship with Iowa Select Farms as contractors.
