“My family and I appreciate the commitment and dedication Iowa Select Farms has to the pork industry,” said Morgan one of our Future Ag Leaders scholarship recipients. “They bring jobs and income to our local communities.”
Agriculture has always been a part of Morgan’s life and she has many memories of working on her family’s farm near Lohrville.
Morgan’s brother is a contractor finisher with Iowa Select Farms. She has helped her brother chore his finishing sites and learned about the pork industry through his work. Moran has also explored her love for agriculture in 4-H and FFA, serving as her 4-H club’s president for four years and her FFA chapter’s secretary for one term.
This fall she is attending DMACC in Ankeny and majoring in agricultural business. Once Morgan has completed her degree, she would like to return home and pursue a career in the agricultural field. This is made possible, in part, because of her scholarship from Iowa Select Farms.
“I would just like to say thank you to Iowa Select Farms for supporting students pursuing agriculture,” she said.
We can already see Morgan rising to the top and helping the agricultural industry in meaningful ways in her Homegrown Iowa community. Keep up the good work Morgan!
