Eli“Watching my dad be a part of something so great with Iowa Select Farms has had a tremendous impact on my decision to go into the agricultural field,” states Eli, a Future Ag Leader Scholarship recipient. “I have seen how rewarding the industry can be, but I have also seen the hard work it takes, and I am proud to be a part of it.”

Eli realized how much he loved agriculture while working on his uncle’s farm. This interest led him to join FFA and increase his knowledge about farming and the impacts it has on the world. As an officer, he organized the fundraising and execution of packaging meals for 5,000 community residents. Eli is from Radcliffe and his dad, Clint, is the director of inner sanctum transportation for Iowa Select Farms. Clint has worked with the company for over 25 years!

Eli is starting his agriculture career adventure by attending Iowa State University and majoring in Animal Science. His love of animals and the desire to improve the livestock industry has led to this field of study. Along with studying animals, Eli has committed to eight years of service in the United States Army. He would like to be involved with aviation and fly helicopters. After his service, Eli will pursue his career “right here in the great state of Iowa, while making an impact on livestock production everywhere.”
