Future Ag Scholarship Winner-Morgan

“Continuing my education in agriculture is what I am truly passionate about,” said Morgan, a 2021 Iowa Select Farms scholarship recipient. “I am so appreciative of this scholarship and the impact that it will make on my studies.”
From the heart of Hardin County, Steamboat Rock, Morgan is the daughter of two Iowa Select Farms contract growers, Ryan and Lisa. As a freshman at Iowa State University, she is optimistic about the opportunities that will arise with her Agricultural Studies degree. Morgan has high hopes of finding her true passions while exploring the many directions her major offers.
Growing up on a farm inspired her to pursue a degree in agriculture. In high school, Morgan was an avid FFA member. Her involvement with AGWSR’s chapter taught her many lessons in both agriculture and life.
“You never know the impact you might have on someone,” said Morgan. “The close relationship that my family has formed with my parent’s supervisor, Mark, has opened my eyes to the endless opportunities in agriculture and the pork industry, plus he’s awesome!”
Wayne Gretzky’s most famous quote, “You miss 100% of the shots you never take,” inspires Morgan to continue keeping an open mind and trying new things. She looks forward to her time at ISU and that it continues to fuel her passion for agriculture. Good luck, Morgan!
