"It keeps me on my toes; each day is a different task, which is great because it’s always something new,” says Greg Tolzmann, Finishing Supervisor for Iowa Select Farms. With his extensive 15 years of experience, Greg has witnessed the pork industry evolve while at the same time growing his career, from the early days of weaning piglets to now supervising finishing sites in central Iowa.“There is always an opportunity to move up the chain of command if you want to,” says Greg. He recalls some of his favorite memories with his fellow finishing supervisors, who’d take a break from the farm to go fishing and camping together. “We are a work hard, play hard industry,” says Greg, reminiscing on his time learning the industry and growing professionally and personally with his colleagues.Greg and his wife, Tammi, have seven grandkids and are eagerly awaiting the arrival of one more in February. Between attending his grandkids’ sporting events, Greg also enjoys finding time to hunt and fish. Thank you, Greg, for spending 15 years with Iowa Select Farms!
