Today we donated 2,592 servings of pork loin to the Pine Lake Food Shelf in Eldora, IA.
This pantry serves 60 families per month from communities in their surrounding areas. The volunteers at this pantry do a great job of keeping their shelves stocked and the flow of traffic moving on busy days.
“We are typically only able to give boxed and canned food items to our families, so meat and protein are highly appreciated! The pork loins donated in the past have been a huge hit, and everyone loves them and asks for them,” said new food bank director Sara Zellmer.
This is why we continue to come back year after year – hearing how much this donation means to families in our communities. Plus, we can’t help but agree with pork being a hit!
