Once again, we are hearing how important a quality protein option is while prices of meat are continuously rising.
“With the cost of all protein options increasing dramatically, it has become hard for people to be able to purchase protein for themselves,” said volunteer Lyn Evans.
The Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation along with Iowa Select Farms believes in everyone having access to a nutritious and healthy meal, and with 400 meals going out the door at this pantry each week, we are honored to have donated 1,080 servings of pork loin to be part of these meals.
