We’d like to shine some light on another tremendous service group that helped us knock out 3,800 Pork Care Packages in one afternoon, and that’s the Indianola FFA Chapter! We were thrilled to hang out and talk about ag with these outstanding young leaders while we assembled and packaged pork coupons for nearly 12,000 military men and women.
“One of the core principles of FFA is straight from the FFA motto—Living to Serve—which is why they jumped at the chance to help out wit...h the effort to show gratitude military families across Iowa,” said Mrs. Brown, Indianola FFA advisor and agriculture education teacher.
In addition to taking high school classes and participating in sports and extracurricular activities, these students are highly involved in their Supervised Ag Experience (SAE) projects, service projects and developing leadership skills to become better people.
We’re proud of the 629,000 students across the nation who are part of the FFA, and especially proud of the leaders we met from the Indianola FFA chapter.
