Little Farmer Toy Box Donated in Grundy Center

We wrapped up the fifth day of deliveries with a stop at Joyful Noise Day Care. As kiddos were being picked up, we delivered our final Little Farmer Toy Box of the day.

“Every day care and day care provider serves a vital purpose in our communities,” said Ali Kraber, a representative of the Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation. “Without the understanding and flexibility of our providers and day care centers, we wouldn’t have the businesses, agriculture and farming we do in every part of Iowa.”

Many families plan their lives and ability to earn a living around day care, including affordability, availability and the level of comfort they have with the options they have for day care. It is one of the most important decisions a family can make and can make or break the ability to earn two incomes.

“Day care centers are vital to my family and for the overall growth of the community we live in,” said Ryan, a supporter of the Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation. “My wife and I both have full-time jobs outside of the home and without the support and childcare offered by Joyful Noise, I know we would not be able to maintain the work and life balance we do.”

As we wrapped up the day of deliveries in Grundy Center, Henry’s Heroes, the Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation and Iowa Select Farms is thankful to give back to the day cares that mean the most to every one of our homegrown communities in every corner in Iowa. We deliver the toy box, we listen to their challenges and needs, but what we hope will happen from our work is a better understanding of just how vital our day cares are, and why it is so important to lift up their stories.
