Lori's Home Day Care in Osage Enjoys Little Farmer Toy Box

“I really love kids, so when I had the opportunity to open an in-home day care, I literally jumped at the chance,” said Lori, a day care provider in Osage. “I never loved a job like I loved taking care of kids so I converted my basement to do what I love and it’s been a blessing since the beginning.”
Patricia, an employee at Iowa Select Farms, nominated Lori to receive a Little Farmer Toy Box. As Patricia held her littlest one, and helped her older put together Lincoln Logs, she shared just how important Lori has been to her growing family.
“Lori is an amazing day care provider and just a really wonderful person,” said Patricia. “She is very hands on with the kids at day care, always helping them learn and be creative. I know leaving my boys in her care means they are safe and happy so I can focus on my work and provide for my family.”
“In-home day cares are such an important of our homegrown Iowa communities,” said Ali Kraber, a representative of the Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation. “These day care providers retrofit large parts of their own homes to make sure kids love being in their care. We could never say thank you enough dedication these wonderful individuals have to help care for our kids in our rural communities.”
