Congratulations to Mary Heiller, Katlyn Kahler and McKenna Brinning for your hard work and effort in earning the Iowa Select Farms Swine Scholarship at the Iowa Foundation For Agricultural Advancement's Winner's Circle event at the Iowa State Fair.
Mary is an animal science major at Iowa State University and already has two swine-related internships under her belt, recently serving at the Iowa Pork Producers Association's public policy intern where she spent the summer working in the DC office of Senator Chuck Grassley. We are also proud to call Mary one of our own and she's helped us weigh pigs for several research trials. Mary is from Madrid.
Katlyn is an animal science major at Iowa State University and is the ISU Block and Bridle Swine Interest Club President. She interned with theNational Pork Producers Council this summer and she's active on the#realpigfarming Social Forces Team and is currently on the livestock judging team. Katlyn is from Cambridge.
McKenna Brinning earned the incoming freshman scholarship and will also be an animal science major at Iowa State University in hopes to someday be a veterinarian. She's highly active in 4-H, FFA and the Washington County Pork Producers. McKenna is from Keota, Iowa.
