And over to Osage to meet up with Leo, who has had an unbelievable 31 years with the Mitchell County Food Bank. This bank annually assists 2,650 people throughout the county and recently celebrated serving one million meals to local families. The food bank is without freezer storage, so Leo relies on the local Payless grocery store to not only store the loins, but slice them in half to stretch them further. “We’ll make this meat last until Christmas” said Leo, who says this is the only meat donation he typically receives.
