National Ag Day-Stop #4 Dows

We made it to Dows, home of Dows Corn Days!

It makes sense that they celebrate Corn Days, as Dows is in Franklin and Wright counties, which produce a combined 377,361 acres of corn a year.

The Dows Community Grocery Store received 380 pounds of ground pork today from Iowa Select Farms in honor of National Ag Day! A day of celebrating our communities that dedicate their lives to agriculture, we are happy to give back.

“This ground pork will be divided up to the community of Dows between 3 churches and the food pantry!” said Cheree Wharton from Dows Grocery.

Spotted, NEW Cooperative, another one of our great suppliers. They help get some of the 55 million bushels of corn and 186K tons of soybean meal fed to our pigs every year!
