As we made our way through North central Iowa, we had the pleasure of checking in with a very generous woman by the name of Bev at the New Hartford United Methodist Church Food Pantry where our delivery crew delivered five cases of pork loins. A part of the community for the last 16 years, the UMC Food Pantry receives a great amount of support from their church family and community members.
“A fairly small pantry, we serve 20 families each month,” said Bev. “People can call me throughout the week to set up appointments to come to the pantry. That way, I can help them shop and find what they need.”
Bev creates themes for community donations based on what they are short on in the pantry at that time so they can always have a balanced supply. Hats off to Bev and the generous community of New Hartford who help feed families in need!
