Now Accepting Applications for Ignite the Spirit

ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR IGNITE THE SPIRIT! For the third year, Iowa Select Farms and the Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation is offering select FFA classes or 4-H groups the opportunity to engage in a holiday community service project. Last year, 41 student organizations took part, bringing cheer and joy to local families in need.

All FFA and 4-H organizations in the following counties are eligible: Adams, Buena Vista, Butler, Calhoun, Carroll, Cerro Gordo, Cherokee, Chickasaw, Clarke, Clay, Crawford, Davis, Decatur, Dickinson, Floyd, Franklin, Greene, Grundy, Guthrie, Hamilton, Hancock, Hardin, Howard, Humboldt, Ida, Kossuth, Lucas, Lyon, Madison, Mahaska, Marshall, Mitchell, O’Brien, Palo Alto, Pocahontas, Pottawattamie, Poweshiek, Ringgold, Sac, Sioux, Story, Tama, Taylor, Union, Wayne, Webster, Winnebago, Wright.

Here's how it works: The Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation will award FFA, 4-H and school-based organizations in our communities two free cases of pork loins and $250 to prepare a meal for families in need, or organize food baskets to distribute.
