Operation Christmas Meal Takes on Des Moines

Operation Christmas Meal is rolled through the Des Moines metro, bringing the means for a holiday meal to the families who rely on the services, care and support of 30 local food pantries, churches and shelters.

Team #1 of Mrs. Claus and Elf Lori headed to—YMCA Supportive Housing, Salvation Army, Lovejoy Elementary, Boys & Girls Club of Central Iowa, Creative Visions, Hope Ministries, Moulton Elementary School, Monroe Elementary School, Polk County River Place Food Pantry, Joppa Outreach and McKinley Elementary.
We put a spotlight on all of these non-profits today, so follow along as we wind our way to loading docks and into pantry coolers as we deliver 4,000 pork loins, with joy.
