"I hope that this pork loin means a couple of extra dollars in a family's pocket to pay bills or even buy some presents for their kids," said Tim Hamilton, Environmental Services Manager at Iowa Select Farms. "Christmas is an especially magical time as a child and everyone, no matter their level of income, deserves a special holiday."

Thanks to everyone that helped make Operation Christmas Meal in Clarion last Friday, December 7, a success! Our team of employee volunteers from area sow farms had a great time handing out pork loin roasts for families in need and good Samaritans with plans of paying it forward.

"From summer pork loin donations to the recent visits they made to schools delivering coupons for ham and bread, Iowa Select does so much for our community," continued Tim. "It makes me proud to work for a company that is so committed to strengthening the towns that their employees work and live."

A program of Iowa Select Farms and the Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation, Operation Christmas Meal kicked off Friday, November 30, at the Iowa State Fairgrounds and ended last night, December 10, in Pocahontas. Over the course of five days, our employees and contractors volunteered their time to hand out nearly 18,000 pork loins for Iowans in need this holiday season.
