"To be able to help this many people in my hometown is just awesome," said John Stinn, Environmental Projects Manager at Iowa Select Farms. "It makes me proud to work for a company that is so committed to giving back."
Thanks to the more than one thousand people that came out to Operation Christmas Meal in Webster City, Iowa Friday afternoon. Our team of local employee volunteers was humbled by the number of families and good Samaritans that came to receive a pork loin roast.
"This is such a fun event to be apart of," said Elzette Dean, Health Services Assistant. "To know that we're the reason for so many smiling faces this holiday season is a great feeling."
A program of Iowa Select Farms and the Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation, Operation Christmas Meal provides a holiday meal for individuals and families in need.
In addition to Webster City, Operation Christmas Meal traveled to Mount Ayr, Afton, Humeston, Hampton, Riceville, Osage, Iowa Falls and Clarion the week of December 3.
