Power Snack 2022 Delivers to South Central Calhoun CSD

The main goal of the Power Snack coupons is to provide a nutritious, delicious, and protein-packed source of food to families over extended breaks from school. That is exactly what South Central Calhoun Community School District shared with us.

“The Power Snack coupons help families bridge the gap of food insecurity over weekends and holidays,” said Beth McCarter, Administrative Assistant at Scc High School.

The Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation acknowledges the toll extended breaks from school can take on a family while trying to provide daily meals for their children. With the holidays approaching, families are feeling the burden of stocking up at the grocery store to ensure there is enough food in their cabinets to get them through those weeks away from school.

19,000 Power Snack coupons were delivered to South Central Calhoun today to make sure families don’t have to feel that extra stress as they approach both the holidays and the grocery store.

$152,000 in deli ham coupons and $57,000 in whole wheat bread coupons will provide that protein, energy, and comfort for students and families during their time away from school.
