“We have several students at-risk for food insecurity,” shared Lori Hartnett, Food Service Director at Webster City Community School District. “Our backpack program serves 120 students alone. Families are always very appreciative of the Power Snack coupons provided by the Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation.”

A total of 3,000 ham and whole wheat bread coupons, totaling $24,000 in deli ham and $9,000 in whole wheat bread, were delivered to Webster City Community School District today in order to provide students and families in need of a healthy meal access to nutritious protein at the grocery store. madi explaining program

The Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation is passionate about ensuring Iowans have protein on their plate that will sustain their energy throughout the school and work day. We know a quality meal is vital in order to be successful throughout the day, and high costs at the grocery store are causing too many barriers for families throughout Iowa.

The Power Snack coupons and pork snack sticks are one way for the Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation to show our appreciation for students and hardworking families throughout Iowa and to help fight hunger for those in need.
