“The Power Snack coupons help provide food for our students on holiday breaks away from school,” shared Kyle Johnson, Student Support Coordinator at Prairie Valley Elementary in Farnhamville, Iowa.

The deli ham and whole wheat bread coupons are intended to help students and families still have access to a nutritious meal source while away from school.

900 coupons were delivered to this elementary school today, accounting for 900 pounds of deli ham and 900 loaves of whole wheat bread.

These coupons will supply roughly 10,000 meals for students and families in need. The Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation recognizes the difficult choices families face at the grocery store every day, sometimes leaving unhealthy items as the only option. We know children need the nutrients that ham contains to grow, develop and successfully learn at school.

We hope these coupons not only provide those essentials, but also easier choices to make during the next visit to the grocery store.
