Our next stop of the day is at Charter Oak-Ute Community School District.

“Our students and families really appreciate the Power Snack coupon books,” said Adam Eggeling, Principal at Charter Oak-Ute. “They have commented on how much it helps out at home.”

600 Power Snack coupons were left in the hands of the faculty at Charter Oak-Ute today, totaling $4,800 in deli ham and $1,800 in whole wheat bread. It is always an honor for the Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation to hear about the impact these coupons are making in the lives of students and families who reside in our Homegrown Iowa communities.

The Foundation has a strong passion for providing nutritious and delicious protein to help fight hunger. The Power Snack program reminds us just how many people are battling hunger right here in the state of Iowa, and these coupons are one way to ensure Iowans have a way to supply their families with a healthy meal while away from school. We hope the families of Charter Oak-Ute feel a sense of relief and comfort as these coupons get sent home with students.
