Power Snack 2022 Stops in Southwest Valley School District

“The Power Snack coupons are wonderful for our families and supply a healthy meal for many,” shared Dawn Shuler, Secretary at Corning Elementary in Southwest Valley School District.

The Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation believes all Iowans deserve access to healthy protein to put on their plates. Our Power Snack program is one of the many ways we try to extend the opportunity have nutritious pork on their plates. These coupons contain healthy recipes, $8 for deli ham and $3 for whole wheat bread.

Corning Elementary received 200 of the coupons today, totaling 200 pounds of deli ham and 200 loaves of whole wheat bread. We are honored to share these coupons with students and families in our Homegrown Iowa communities, and we hope this program eases the burden of rising food costs many are facing at the grocery store.
