Power Snack Makes Two Stops in Southwest Valley

The Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation and Iowa Select Farms is making two stops in the Southwest Valley School District at both Enarson Elementary School in Villisca and Corning Elementary in Corning.

Both schools will be receiving hundreds of Power Snack coupon booklets for teachers to supply their students who are food insecure. To help offset the expense of meals at home on weekends and long school breaks, the Power Snack program provides coupons for deli ham and whole wheat bread at grocery stores. In total, the district will have 1,200 coupons and 400 pork sticks, valued at $9,600.

We are proud to help ensure students have the ability to focus in the classroom. We have one more stop today in southern Iowa--check back to where we're closing out the day.
