According to the Food Bank of Iowa, when schools closed unexpectedly due to COVID-19, kids from low-income families missed meals they used to get at schools, schools weren't able to distribute backpack food and families did not have access to school pantries. #PowerSnack provided an immediate need when other resources were limited or unavailable.
