Power Snack Visits the Mustangs of Murray

"The Power Snack program relieves the stress of providing healthy meals for students, especially over the holidays," said Jennifer Danley, Business Manager for Murray Community Schools. "Parents are always very grateful to have these available."

We are making our way west, so of course we had to stop and visit the Mustangs of Murray, Iowa. For weeks, Iowa Select Farms and the Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation have been visiting schools all across Iowa to help them fight childhood hunger.

800 Power Snack coupon booklets, that each contain a $5 coupon for deli ham and a $3 coupon for a loaf of whole wheat bread, and 200 pork sticks will leave this community with the resources to help their students needing additional assistance over the holidays.
