Project Food and Fellowship Sends Siouxland Soldiers to the Movies
posted on Wednesday, September 1, 2021
"It is so wonderful to be able to provide these family events for our Siouxland military and veteran families to enjoy together,” said Lori Risdal, volunteer for Support Siouxland Soldiers. “We could not do it without the support of wonderful organizations like the Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation’s Project: Food and Fellowship program."

Recently, 150 Siouxland Soldiers, Airmen, Veterans and family members recently enjoyed a free drive-in movie presentation of "Jumanji", hosted by Support Siouxland Soldiers.
Everyone enjoyed a free grilled hot dog meal, and each family received gift bags stuffed with movie snacks courtesy of the Foundation.
Project Food and Fellowship assists family readiness coordinators, military community volunteers and event coordinators with creating and hosting social gatherings for active duty, reservists, veterans, Gold Star families and all military families.
The goal of Project Food and Fellowship is to help enhance or create memorable and enriching experiences for members of our military and build and strengthen relationships within the community. More information can be found here.
