The Riceville Community School District’s Voluntary 4-Year-Old Preschool Program is planning the purchase of necessary materials needed for providing a better learning environment for students. Funding for the materials come from a Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation/Iowa Select Farms $2,000 community improvement grant.
“When students come to preschool they are learning rules, social skills, and foundational academic skills to help them become successful learners as students in s...chool and as members of the community,” says Samantha Burke, a Riceville Community School District preschool teacher.
“In order to provide a quality learning environment where students experience a variety of activities and learning opportunities, we need different types of materials to help provide these opportunities,” Burke says. “We plan to have our preschool classroom as part of the Riceville Community School District for many years to come and use these materials for future classes.”
P.S. Did we love the pig Valentines? Absolutely.
