Robert Celebrates 15 Years at Iowa Select Farms

“I get to learn something new every day,” said Robert, an environmental maintenance technician. “I have an amazing team I get to work with, and they continue to push me.”
Robert is celebrating 15 years of service with Iowa Select Farms this June!
After starting with Iowa Select Farms right out of high school in 2006, Robert has not looked back since. “Russ Hinders hired me to work on special projects and he was an amazing mentor. I will always be thankful for him introducing me to this company.”
During his time doing construction work on new farms, Robert was able to learn from Brian, Joe, John and Ardy. After almost three years, Robert landed in a new role with the environmental department.
As an environmental maintenance technician, he knows no day is the same. From hauling manure and mowing or spraying lagoons, to operating heavy machinery and plowing snow, Robert is ready for when his day could change at any minute.
“I love that my job is interesting and that I get to work and train with so many people,” Robert said. “Iowa Select Farms is such a great place to work. I know that they care about their employees.”
One of Robert’s favorite things about Iowa Select Farms is the Iowa State Fair family day and the World Pork Expo, where he is a grill master of course!
The Ackley native enjoys spending time with his friends and family and living life to the fullest.
