Stanhope Watermelon Days Parade

We spent our morning in Stanhope, Iowa at the Watermelon Day Celebration enjoying “a slice of the good life." The day kicked off with a parade at 10:30 a.m. followed by festivities at the park.

Founded in 1957, thousands now come to Stanhope for the Watermelon Day parade, carnival rides, ball games, free entertainment, and all the free watermelon you can eat.
