Veteran Spotlight on Aaron Hansen

Aaron by Military TruckToday, we recognize Aaron Hansen with the SelectCare Excellence Award. He's one of nearly 30 employees and contractors being honored for their service to our country.

Aaron joined the Iowa Army National Guard (IANG) after high school, training at Fort Jackson in South Carolina for basic. He served four years with the 334th Attachment out of Waterloo before moving to the US Army.

While active-duty Army, he was stationed at Camp Casey in South Korea, assigned to the 70th BSB 2nd Infantry Division. He was later sent back to South Korea as part of the 1st Battalion 67th Regiment 3rd Brigade for a second assignment that worked to keep peace and help train civilians for emergencies.

During his four years in active duty, his primary role was transportation, carrying ammunition for the infantry units within the tank brigade.

His wife, Kaleen, serves in the US Army Reserves. Today, Aaron is a maintenance technician for the eastern Iowa finishing region.
