Veteran Spotlight on Bart Shriver

We are proud to recognize employee and veteran Bart Shriver.

In 1981, Bart was a senior in high school and knew that after graduation, he wanted to enlist in the United States Army. After initial training, Bart was stationed in Mississippi as a combat engineer, working on machinery used in battle.

Bart spent two years in active duty before moving back to Iowa, where he joined the Iowa National Guard and was based out of Centerville. He continued his service in the National Guard for six years as a heavy equipment engineer and demo specialist.

Today, Bart lives in Ackley with his wife, Julie, and they enjoy living close to their two daughters and grandson.

Happy Retirement to Manny Batista

Manny Batista has been a Breeding Specialist with Iowa Select Farms since 2010. Reuben says Manny's attention to detail and expertise contributed significantly to the team.
